INSERPLASA firm ups its leadership in recycling at the 4th National Plastics Recycling Congress On June 5th, coinciding with the World Environment Day, we actively participated in the 4th National Plastics Recycling Congress, held at the iconic Callao Cinemas in Madrid and hosted by ANARPLA. This event gathered more than 450 professionals of the recycling, processing, administration, and innovation, consolidating its position as the main national forum for discussing the challenges and opportunities of the sector.

From INSERPLASA, we has the pride of participate as a Gold Sponsor of the event, reaffirming our commitment to the circular economy and our position as a leader in recycling polyolefin and the manufacture of reusable and 100% recyclable packagings. We play an active rol in roundtables and presentations, advocating for key proposals for the future of the sector, including: The need to provide incentives to companies that use recycled pellets as a way to generate real demand and promote the use of sustainable materials instead of virgin plastic. Stricter controls on imports of plastic materials from other continents, with the aim of preventing unfair competition resulting from the use of fraudulent documentation to evade the plastic tax. Evaluate the impact of the Deposit, Refund, and Return System (DRRS) and its possible implementation in our country.

Acting for INSERPLASA, our CEO Juanjo Sánchez participated in one of the Congress’s most strategic roundtables, focusing on the use of recycled plastics in packaging. During his presentation, he shared our vision and highlighted two key priorities boost a sustainable transformation of the sector:
